Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation operates the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Kansas' first nuclear power generating station, for three utility owners in Kansas and Missouri.  Wolf Creek Generating Station is located in Coffey County, Kansas, just northeast of Burlington.  Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation is one of the largest employers in Kansas with a workforce of approximately 1,000 individuals involved in a variety of professions.  Wolf Creek has been safely providing clean energy to the citizens of Kansas and Missouri since 1985.
